Lost and (hopefully) Found

By Sarah O’Brien

A classic square, a well worn tear,

A thread hanging loose,

Upon a chair, it’s carefree stare,

Deceptive warmth lost on me,

It could have held a sea or a picnic tea,

Though no longer can it be,

That familiar brush, soft to touch,

Has since abandoned me.
